Barb has over 35 years of accounting experience specializing in manufacturing, inventory management and job costing. Barb is a Navy veteran who enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and her cats. Her current hobby is learning boxing from a retired professional boxer/trainer.
Controller, Sr. Staff Accountant
Kimberley has 20 years accounting experience specializing in small business to which she adds her love of accounting with enthusiasm and dedication. She is the mother of two who loves spending time with her family hiking and geocaching. Kimberley and her daughter are very involved with the American Cancer Society, specifically their “Relay for Life” fundraiser as well as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Her most recent hobby has been to obtain her skydiving license and hopes to have more time to pursue this activity in the future.
Sr. Staff Accountant
Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington and has spent the last 30 years perfecting her accounting skills. Not only is she a skilled accountant but she is also an accomplished painter utilizing both watercolor and oils. One of her biggest joys is simply going for long walks with her dog.
Sr. Staff Accountant
Julie is a full charge bookkeeper with 15 years of experience specializing in accounting research, payroll, and construction accounting. Her knowledge in accounting is a proven asset to any company and co-workers appreciate her drive and enthusiasm she brings to any job. Julie owned a quilting shop but now enjoys quilting in her spare time and spending time with her family.
Sr. Staff Accountant, Payroll Specialist
Sejin comes from Seoul, South Korea, where she earned a degree in Business and Economics from Sangmyung University. She is fluent in both Korean and English and learned English through a Georgetown University program in Cambridge, England before immigrating to the U.S. She brings very strong organizational skills, and experience as a bookkeeper for a large international Korean company. In her free time she enjoys Hot Yoga, trying new cafes and restaurants, and doing outdoor activities like clam digging with her husband.
Operations Manager, Staff Accountant
Amanda has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. She has over 15 years of administrative experience in a variety of fields such as security, law enforcement and healthcare. She served in the US Navy in Oak Harbor, WA. Amanda has been married for over 10 years and has 5 children. She enjoys doing landscape photography in her spare time.
Staff Accountant
Yelena has over 15 years of experience in small business ownership, management, bookkeeping and accounting. She moved to the United States in 2006 and pursued a career in accounting by completing a certificate program at the North Seattle Community College. She is keenly aware of the challenges and nuances of maintaining accounts for small business owners. She takes great pride in her strong work ethics, meticulousness and punctuality. In her free time she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. Yelena and her daughter volunteer for a local non-profit community theater both on and off the stage. Her favorite pastime is enjoying the wonderful Northwest scenery. She is fluent in Russian and English.
Staff Accountant
I have a Masters in Business Administration from University of Hartford, CT. Before that, I received my Bachelors from Hailey College of Commerce in Lahore, Pakistan. I came to America in 1988. I have about 18 years’ experience in managing funds and payroll for Nonprofit organizations. I love managing finances and it is an integral part of a successful organization. I like talking to numbers and believe that numbers speak. I have also worked in hotel management industry and managed funds for my husband’s Auto sales business. I have been volunteering for many organizations, including Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Zainab Social Services Society and Beverly Elementary School. I also love reading books, doing crafts, observing nature and humans. I am fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi languages.
Payroll Specialist
Sharon has over 15 years of administrative experience in a variety of fields such as bookkeeping, banking and healthcare. Sharon loves to spend time with her 5 children and her family. She enjoys scrapbooking and attending improv comedy shows in her spare time.
Payroll Specialist
Myrna is a former Director of Human Resource with 18 years of HR management experience for the hotel and restaurant industry. She has notable experience in strategic HR planning, benefits administration, claims compensation and payroll management systems. Prior to her management positions, she was tasked as an Accounting Technician for Pearl Harbor Naval Station for 20 years.
She is a member of many prominent organizations including Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), Hospitality HR Association (HHRA), American Legion Post 96, Kalio Pa’u Riders, Red Hat Society – Snohomish Chapter, Halau Hula Kalei Mokihana and serves as an executive officer for the American Legion Women Auxiliary.
With the love of the great northwest, you may find her camping with her husband or competing in 500-1,000-meter sprint racing for Kikaha O’Ke Kai Outrigger Canoe Club.
Account Manager
I graduated Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea with major in English Literature and minor in Psychology. Then I studied accounting at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. I began my career as a staff accountant at CPA firms, preparing financial reports and tax returns for various industries.
I am licensed by the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent and been working in the fields of business and individual taxation. I also have experience in underwriting for commercial loans at a bank, and conducted financial analyses to ensure the portfolio was in compliance with regulations.
I joined YBS in January 2019 and I enjoy working on various accounting projects and collaborative teamwork with senior accountants at YBS. I am blessed with two daughters. My family and I enjoy outdoor activities like skiing, hiking and camping. Since my family moved to Seattle Washington few years ago and we also enjoy the city life going to restaurants and shopping.
Staff Accountant
Beverly has over 20 years of full charge bookkeeping experience. I spent 13 years in the non-profit food safety sector and enjoy anything Accounting, HR/Payroll related.
YBS Support
Margaret is a well known face to our YBS team, she used to be our office manager for many years before she retired in April 2018.
Margaret has decades of experience in administrative duties ranging from property management to high tech and retail sales in the accounting field. She continues to support our YBS team with her management experience and assists with our special projects.
On a more personal note, Margaret has had a long time dream of owning a private library. Within that library, she envisions a complete collection of the 100 greatest stories ever written in leather bound covers.
Document Specialist
Gail has been a client of YBS now for about 14 years. After owning her own successful business and being retired, she offers her exceptional organizational talent to YBS. Her wish is to be part of a large company serving multiple entities and YBS fulfills that wish. On a side note, Gail loves driving and going on day trips. Her goal is to visit every city in the state of Washington because she loves it and considers it a beautiful state.
Administrative Specialist
From a small town in Texas…Met and married my Husband Randall in the Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Our employment opportunities has taken us from Texas, Colorado, Illinois, Wisconsin to Washington. Now we live in the PNW, with our two cats Oliver and Harley.
USAF I was trained in electronic repair; teletype and crypto equipment. I went to Front Range Community College and received my Associate Degree in Accounting. For almost thirty years, I’ve held a variety of positions from administrative to accounting. Responsibilities span from office management to paying fuel taxes.
Love to volunteer for great causes; Rebuilding Together, Feeding the homeless at Warming Shelter in Wisconsin. Now, trying to schedule time to help out at Purrfect Pals Shelter in Marysville.
I love my crafts; since being in WA, I started taking a few painting classes. I love to crochet and make homemade cards. I like to read and do puzzles. Randall and I love to go on motorcycle rides (time and weather permitting – which really is hit or miss up here).
Looking forward to retirement and going to part time jobs and enjoying more time on our motorcycle.
Intern
Brayden has been an intern with YBS since 2013 learning the fundamentals of business, economy trends and problem solving. He graduated this year from Archbishop Murphy High School with honors and was one of the class of 2020 Valedictorians. Brayden will be attending The College of Wooster, a premier college for mentored undergraduate research, double majoring in mathematics and molecular biology and later pursuing his doctorate in virology so he will be reducing his time at YBS while he is attending The College of Wooster. He enjoys challenging his friends in chess, electronic mind games and hanging at the lake to relax. When the YBS team has a challenging math equation we turn to Brayden to provide the formula.
Intern
Maddy has been an intern with YBS since 2017, she graduated from Cascade High School this year with honors and will be attending the University of Washington (Bothell). She plans on majoring in Society, Ethics and Human Behavior with a minor possible in writing or theatre.
YBS will miss Maddy as she was the master of special projects requested from clients.
Maddy enjoys extensive reading, volunteering in her community and hanging with her friends.
Intern
YBS is excited to welcome Sharon Brena Pai, our newest intern from Taiwan; she will be assisting our administrative team and staff accountants in special projects.
Currently she is a senior at Lakewood High School, participating in the running start program at Everett Community College. She is fluent in Mandarin and English.
Sharon has plans after high school to pursue a career in the medical field and following her brother to Ohio for her undergraduate degree.
In her off time she enjoys playing tennis, pickle ball, spending time with her family, especially baking treats for her two brothers.
Intern
Ian has been an intern with YBS since 2018, he graduated in 2019 from Lakewood High School.
The YBS team will miss Ian as he will be reducing his hours at YBS when he returns to Central Washington University this fall, following his father's footsteps in a career as a EMT/ Firefighter.
Ian enjoys snowboarding, water sports, gaming and hanging with his friends and family.
This summer he has been busy with construction projects and landscape design, enjoying the new challenge.
