  Brenda began her accounting career in 1990 at US Bank, Trust Branch in Southern Oregon.  In 1993 she relocated to Washington and continued her journey in finance by accepting a position with Kent Investment Corporation.  Brenda established her own practice in 1997 and is always exploring ways to expand her services and bring financial structure to otherwise not so structured businesses.

Barb Klokkevold

Management Support

Barb has over 35 years of accounting experience specializing in manufacturing, inventory management and job costing.  Barb is a Navy veteran who enjoys spending time with her granddaughter and her cats.  Her current hobby is learning boxing from a retired professional boxer/trainer.

Kimberley Booth

Account Manager

Management Support

Kimberley has 20 years accounting experience specializing in small business to which she adds her love of accounting with enthusiasm and dedication.  She is the mother of two who loves spending time with her family hiking and geocaching.  Kimberley and her daughter are very involved with the American Cancer Society, specifically their “Relay for Life” fundraiser as well as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  Her most recent hobby has been to obtain her skydiving license and hopes to have more time to pursue this activity in the future.

Margie is new to the YBS team and comes to us with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management.  She has been married for 20 years and every second that she has free she loves to spend with her husband and her two horses, Onyx and Magic.  Margie and her husband are both proud US Coast Guard veterans.

Jennifer James

Account Manager

Jennifer comes to us with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington and has spent the last 30 years perfecting her accounting skills.  Not only is she a skilled accountant but she is also an accomplished painter utilizing both watercolor and oils.  One of her biggest joys is simply going for long walks with her dog.

Sejin Jun

Account Manager

Sejin comes from Seoul, South Korea, where she earned a degree in Business and Economics from Sangmyung University. She is fluent in both Korean and English and learned English through a Gerogetown University program in Cambridge, England before immigrating to the U.S.  She brings very strong organizational skills, and experience as a bookkeeper for a large international Korean company. In her free time she enjoys Hot Yoga, trying new cafes and restaurants, and doing outdoor activities like clam digging with her husband.

Julie Fowler

Julie is a full charge bookkeeper with 15 years of experience specializing in accounting research, payroll, and construction accounting.  Her knowledge in accounting is a proven asset to any company and co-workers appreciate her drive and enthusiasm she brings to any job.  Julie owned a quilting shop but now enjoys quilting in her spare time and spending time with her family.

Maureen Miller

Project Assistant

Maureen spent 27 years working in healthcare, 15 as an administrative assistant primarily in the hospital setting followed by 12 years as a private practice manager/administrator with certification as Certified Medical Practice Executive.  She has a bachelor’s with dual majors in Business and Management.  Maureen prefers to focus solely on bookkeeping at this point to free her up to care for her elderly mother and spend more time on personal interests.  This widowed mother of 4 children (two acquired through marriage) is an amateur landscape photographer and practices brush lettering and calligraphy.

Yelena Camiel

Project Assistant

Yelena comes to us with over 15 years of experience in small business ownership, management, bookkeeping and accounting.  She moved to the United States in 2006 and pursued a career in accounting by completing a certificate program at the North Seattle Community College.  She is keenly aware of the challenges and nuances of maintaining accounts for small business owners.  She takes great pride in her strong work ethics, meticulousness and punctuality.  In her free time she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.  Yelena and her daughter volunteer for a local non-profit community theater both on and off the stage.  Her favorite pastime is enjoying the wonderful Northwest scenery.

Sunny Heo

Project Assistant

Sunny graduated from Sogang University in Seoul, South Korea with a major in English Literature and minor in Psychology.  Sunny came to the US in 1996 to study at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana where she met her husband and made the US home.  A few years ago her family moved to Seattle.  She has experience in underwriting for commercial loans, staff accountant at CPA firms managing accounting for small businesses and has prepared tax returns for individuals and businesses as an Enrolled Agent since 2016. Sunny and her family enjoy outdoor activities like skiing, hiking and camping.

Amanda Cook

Project Assistant

Amanda is new to the YBS team and comes to us with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.  She has over 15 years of administrative experience in a variety of fields such as security, law enforcement and healthcare.  She served in the US Navy in Oak Harbor, WA.  Amanda has been married for over 10 years and has 5 children.  She enjoys doing landscape photography in her spare time.

Jessica Sommerseth

Billing Department

Jessica has over 20 years of experience and a degree in Computerized Office Management and Marketing. She has worked as an accounting assistant for several types of small businesses over the years.  For a few years she worked out of her home creating websites and marketing materials for local small businesses so that she could remain home with her two boys. She enjoys getting away every once in awhile for a weekend drive with her family to find places she has not yet seen in Washington.

Gail Joyner – Document Specialist

Gail has been a client of YBS now for about 14 years.  After owning her own successful business and being retired, she offers her exceptional organizational talent to YBS.  Her wish is to be part of a large company serving multiple entities and YBS fulfills that wish.  On a side note, Gail loves driving and going on day trips.  Her goal is to visit every city in the state of Washington because she loves it and considers it a beautiful state.

Brayden Gateley – Intern

Brayden has been an intern with YBS since 2013 learning the fundamentals of business, economy trends and problem solving.  He currently is a student at Arch Bishop Murphy where his focus is on math and science.  He is actively involved in math club and partners with Housing Hope tutoring math to other students and he takes additional courses at Everett Community College.  Brayden hopes that his path will lead him to a major in mathematics and a doctorate in microbiology / virology.  He enjoys challenging his friends in chess, electronic mind games and hanging at the lake to relax.  When the YBS team has a challenging math equation we turn to Brayden to provide the formula.

 

Maddy Moeller – Intern

Maddy joined our YBS team in January of 2017 and is currently a student at a local high school. She has participated in her schools swim and dive team, annual food drive, ran a pizza business in her school store for a day, helped at the school open house and was part of the annual princess tea for drama club.  She is a PAWS class representative and all while still maintaining her 4.0 gpa.  She has been an honor roll student since 2014, member of DECA since 2016 and received a Bre Bruin award for showing good behavior.  We are delighted to have her on our team.
